A series of paintings inspired by the so-called “galant” era will recreate a bizarre, boundless world within the former palace of banker Berkovitz—famous for its eclectic style and for the lavish parties it once hosted. This is the Rococo universe of silk high-heeled shoes, extravagant hairstyles (women wore actual ships atop their heads), exaggerated makeup, and pastel-colored floral garlands. A total lack of moderation is reflected through the artist’s distinctive style—decorative with textile-inspired influences.
